The Future Revealed
Revelation 11 is often treated as a puzzle about timelines, temples, and future events. This sermon considers several major ways Christians have interpreted the chapter, then focuses on its central encouragement: although God’s people may be opposed, humiliated, and even appear defeated, God knows and preserves his church, and its faithful witness will not be overcome.
Rather than giving us a detailed checklist for predicting what happens next, Revelation 11 reveals the one future we can know with certainty: the kingdom of the world will become the kingdom of Christ. Because Jesus will reign, judge evil, reward his servants, and make all things right, Christians can resist fearful speculation and live faithfully in the present with confidence in his return.
