The Throne
In this message we explore Revelation 4-5 as the antidote to the chaos and uncertainty of the world, urging a shift from obsessions with Bible codes, failed prophecies, climate doomsaying, and conspiracy theories to the profound reality of heavenly worship. Amid global instability and persecution faced by Christians—from ancient Rome to modern hotspots like Somalia, Iraq, Nigeria, and India—the vision of an open door to God’s throne room reveals a scene of unceasing praise by the four living creatures and 24 elders, declaring the Almighty holy, who was, is, and is to come. This worship service in heaven reminds us that earthly powers like emperors or leaders hold no ultimate control; God reigns sovereign, inviting all creation to bow before Him and find stability in His unchanging presence.
In this message we also confront the heavenly crisis in Revelation 5, where a sealed scroll of end-times prophecy—echoing Daniel 12—can only be opened by one worthy, revealing the Lion of Judah as a slain Lamb who has triumphed through sacrifice. On Easter Sunday, this truth centers on Jesus’ resurrection, the cornerstone of Christianity that transformed fearful disciples into bold witnesses despite persecution, proving no mere political conqueror but the Savior who takes away the sins of the world. Ultimately, we affirm that Jesus alone is worthy to control the future, calling us to look to Him on the throne, worship amid trials, and trust His perfect sovereignty over all that unfolds.
