This sermon explores the unique nature of God as depicted in the Book of Micah, highlighting three key aspects: God’s concern for the poor, His disdain for religious formalism, and His unwavering commitment to His covenant people. It contrasts the ancient world’s view of multiple gods with the singular, compassionate nature of Yahweh, who cares deeply for the marginalised and despises empty religious practices. The message also emphasises God’s enduring promise of hope and restoration for His people, culminating in the ultimate sacrifice of Christ for humanity’s sins.
