In this sermon on Genesis 20, we explore the themes of deception, protection, and restoration within the sanctity of marriage. Abraham’s lie about Sarah almost jeopardises God’s promise, but God’s intervention protects their marriage and His divine plan. We reflect on how lies can destroy relationships and the critical role that truth and trust play in safeguarding them. We also see how God fiercely defends marriage and offers hope for restoration, even when we fail. No matter the brokenness in a relationship, through repentance, prayer, and God’s help, healing and renewal are possible.
