Revelation 13 exposes Satan’s counterfeits: a false Christ, false worship and a false promise of protection. Through the two beasts and the mark of the beast, we see how political power, religious deception and the desire for security can draw our hearts away from Jesus.

This sermon challenges us to recognise these counterfeits and remain faithful to Christ. Spiritual discernment means looking beyond impressive appearances and miraculous signs to ask whether they point people towards Jesus. Faithful endurance begins with everyday obedience—loving our neighbours, practising generosity, forgiving others and trusting God when following him is costly.

Our hope rests in Jesus, who obeyed his Father even to death. Through his cross, we find forgiveness for every counterfeit we have embraced and freedom to walk in God’s ways. His ways may not always be easier, but they lead to life.
