In this message we explore Revelation 14 and the two ways to live: as citizens of Zion who belong to Jesus, or as citizens of Babylon who follow the world. We consider what it means to bear the Lamb’s name, follow him wherever he goes, and resist the temptation to trade faithfulness for comfort, security, and acceptance. Those who belong to Jesus are secure in him and can look forward to eternal rest.
Revelation 14 also confronts us with the certainty of coming judgment. The mark of the beast represents allegiance and belonging, rather than something a Christian might accidentally receive. As we consider the final harvest, we are called to persevere in faith, turn from sin, and put our trust in Jesus while there is still time—and to share this urgent hope with others.
